I was just having a bad day, and needed to talk to someone. I wished that if I had an angel, someone that was really special, that I could tell anything to, that was all I really needed.

Send Us An Angel

© Skylar

Ever mess up and can't fix your mistake
Only have one friend, cause they're too hard to make
Ever feel alone, by yourself in the world
sit in bed at night as your brain starts to twirl
ever been hurt so bad that you can't recover
no one to talk to
not a friend sister or brother
all you got left to do is pray
pray for a better way.
cause when life gives you trouble, what can you do?
pray that god sends an angel to you.
cause if you had an angel to brighten your smile
sit and talk to you once and a while
imagine your problems disappear
if only a friend would appear
so pray, pray for a better way,
it's all you got left to do
pray God sends an angel to you.

8/8/2014Spiritual » Prayer Poems » From Mother To Daughter, A Daughters Blessing By Martha Anderson
This poem is a profession of faith for my daughter. There is a very wise verse in the Bible that says that we should "speak those things that are not as though they were." For what we speak about our children is what will come to pass, whether our words are positive or negative. Our faith words can cause great things to happen... God Bless

Hi, I'm Michelle (it's not my real name; I don't feel safe using it). I am 13 and my mom has a boyfriend, my future step-dad. Everything was great and then he started hurting me sexually a year ago. I don't know why I posted this, I guess so I wouldn't feel so alone. Anyway.........
8/4/2014Family » Adoption Poems » Joined At The Heart By Michelle Matthews
My daughter, not by blood, is one of the most important people in my life. She lives in a different state now, but we talk every day. This innocent child is verbally and mentally abused by her biological mother. She is an alcoholic, compulsive gambler and suffers from Bi-Polar Disorder. The child spends every spring break and summer months with me which helps balance her life. Someday she will be free from the chaos. I wish Child Protective Services truly had the child's best interest at heart but they say as long as she has no physical marks, she is being taken care of. Our system needs to change.

Teen » Betrayed Friend Poems » One Secret By Betty D.1
My best friend decided that since his other friends didn't like me, he was too cool for me. He began lying to me, calling me names behind my back, typical high school stuff. But one day he lied to my face about how he broke his wrist and that was the last straw. I asked him about it, and told him that it was good to finally know where I stand with him. His words were "We aren't friends anymore, because you start too much drama." This poem is based on how I felt after realizing who he really was.
Teen » STOP Cutting Poems » The Girl, Her Story By Hannah Taylor1
This poem is basically following my experience with recovery from cutting/anorexia. It shows how dark you seem while you feel under this cloud of depression and how the world seems so happy without you. But you can get better. I have experienced it for myself. After 5 years of cutting and 1 year of anorexia I ended up in a mental hospital. Guys, don't let it get there. It can be so much better. You are worth SO much more. The girl is me and that could even be you. Either way, it does get better.
Teen » Life Poems » The Teenage Years By Sarah Gray2
